With over four decades dedicated to the art of karate, Shihan Sakai's journey began as an "Uchi-deshi," a special apprenticeship under the guidance of the World Oyama Karate founder, Soshu Shigeru Oyama.

A three-time World Oyama Full Contact Champion and seasoned tournament competitor, Shihan Sakai excels in both full-contact and point system fighting matches, consistently securing victory. His expertise extends to "kata" competitions, where he has claimed numerous first-place titles.

Shihan Sakai is not only a skilled competitor but also a proficient instructor in martial arts weapons such as nunchaku, tonfa, bo, and sai. His teaching philosophy centers on fostering respect, patience, and appreciation in students, empowering them with self-discipline, self-esteem, and confidence as they navigate this dynamic martial arts style.

Shihan Sakai places a strong emphasis on the fundamentals ("kihon"), considering them the cornerstone for mastering the intricate movements of kata and "kumite" (fighting).
